Three straight wins for UNO men’s soccer

Omaha, NE – After starting the year with two overtime losses in three days, the University of Nebraska at Omaha men’s soccer team may have turned the corner on the 2014 season. The Mavericks played UMKC Saturday in Missouri going for their third straight win.

The start of college soccer season is underway. The second annual South Omaha Classic was played Saturday at South High in Omaha. It pitted the University of Nebraska at Omaha men’s soccer squad against the University of Nebraska Lincoln club and alumni team. KVNO was there and has a recap of the game.

Omaha, NE – The University of Nebraska at Omaha soccer field recently earned a prestigious endorsement from the international governing body of soccer. After extensive testing by FIFA, the Mavericks have gained elite status with a 2-star certification. This isn’t the only thing to be excited about if you are a Mav soccer fan, according to UNO men’s head coach Jason Mims.
