‘Public Health Thank You Day’ in Nebraska
OMAHA – Without disagreeing, during the pandemic health workers have worked in the middle of exhaustion and exasperation. The Nebraska Association of Local Health Directors identifies November 22 as Public Health Thank You Day.

Brandon McDermott  is a student at Metro Community College in Omaha where he is on the Dean’s List.
Brandon began his broadcasting career interning at NRG Media, and then turned to the corporate world for a few years, working as a manager at Telvent DTN. He returned to his first love- radio- in June, 2011, volunteering for KVNO on the sports desk covering the UNO Mavericks.
Brandon officially came on board in December 2011, and now works as a sports/general assignment reporter and producer.
In his time at KVNO he has won several awards from the Northwest Broadcast Association and the Omaha Press Club.
In his free time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife Lindsay, playing guitar, tweeting live sporting events and discussing politics.
