‘Public Health Thank You Day’ in Nebraska

OMAHA – Nebraska Association of Local Health Directors hosted a virtual press conference with local health directors and doctors from across the State. At the conference, the speakers mentioned the current severe state of the pandemic and recommendations for the Nebraskans.

“Public Health Thank You Day” first began in 2005 and takes place on the Monday before Thanksgiving, annually. This year indeed the center of attention continues to be the pandemic. Acting State Epidemiologisrt, Dr. Matthew Donahue says that one year ago Nebraska had the highest peak in cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic although cases are surging again we are in a better condition this time
