“Falletta Conducts ‘Pines of Rome'”
October 27th, 2021
Omaha, NE—Omaha Symphony welcomes guest conductor Maestra JoAnn Falletta, and guest violinist, Blake Pouliot, for a performance this weekend in homage to Rome. Maestra Falletta, the only female conductor of a top 40 orchestra, will lead the orchestra in the works of Berlioz and Respighi. The concert concludes with two pieces of Respighi’s Roman Trilogy.
As highly narrative pieces of music, all instruments in the orchestra come together to tell the romantic story.
Between Berlioz and Respighi, Canadian Violonist Pouliot will perform Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto in D Major.”
Falletta Conducts “Pines of Rome,” presented by the Omaha Symphony is Friday, October 29 and Saturday the 30 at 7:30pm. For more information or tickets, go to OmahaSymphony.org.
