Omaha, NE—Omaha Symphony returns this weekend with a diverse repertoire. The orchestra welcomes back Bulgarian conductor and Music Director of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra and Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra, Stilian Kirov. The concert will feature mostly American composers, including Eric Ewazen, Walter Piston, and William Grant Still, but also Haydn.

Featuring Guest Conductor Stilian Kirov and Principal Pianist Christi Zuniga

A highlight of this Friday and Saturday evenings will be an appearance by Christi Zuniga, Principal Pianist with Omaha Symphony, performing on Piston’s Concertino for Piano and Orchestra.

This weekend’s performances will be an uplifting musical experience during what is hopefully the close of a long pandemic.

“Stilian Kirov Conducts William Grant Still,” featuring Christi Zuniga this Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6 at 7:30pm at the Holland Performing Arts Center. For more information or tickets, go to omahasymphony.org.
