Omaha, NE—Amplify Arts opens their next Generator Grant Exhibition tonight at their Generator Space on Vinton Street. Titled, i borrow my comparisons from clay, being clay myself, the show features the work of ceramicist Sarah Hummel Jones and painter Erik Daniel White.
Upon receiving the Generator Grant, Jones, who often works alone, was drawn to the work of White. Both artists portray commodities of everyday life in their pieces, often with a sense of humor.
Audiences can expect to see objects ranging from traditional pottery, to colorful sculptures of food.
i borrow my comparisons from clay, being clay myself, opens at Amplify Arts’ Generator Space at 1804 Vinton Street tonight at 6:00pm. For more information on this event or next year’s Generator Grants, visit AmplifyArts.org.
