Omaha, NE—Halloween comes early this year for the Nebraska Wind Symphony. Visiting Music Director Dr. Joshua Kearney and Associate Music Director Keith Davis will present the Wind Symphony Spooktacular this Sunday at the Omaha Conservatory of Music. The ensemble will perform tunes by some familiar composers, like Tchaikovsky and Sousa, and some contemporary musicians. Visiting Director, Dr. Joshua Kearney.

To illustrate the spookiness of the season, Kearny and Davis rely on some of the eerie narrative elements of this Sunday’s repertoire, for example a piece by Dr. Donald Grantham.

For those not familiar with the Nebraska Wind Symphony, it’s a community band made up of around 80 area musicians, and they’re still looking for some more—percussionists and bassoonists to be exact.

The Nebraska Wind Symphony Spooktacular concert at the Omaha Conservatory of Music is this Sunday, October 20 at 3:00pm. For tickets or more information on the concert or how to sign up, visit NebraskaWindSymphony.com.
