Omaha, NE—Vesper Concert’s performance season continues into the new year, beginning with solo pianist, Kate Campbell. For over 30 years, Vesper Concerts has hosted some of the most notable contemporary performers, featuring every period of music from the most modern to the medieval. Campbell has received glowing praise from Bay Area publications and has worked with the likes of UC Berkely and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, but there’s another reason she’s a special guest of Vesper Concerts. She was born and raised in Omaha and the first to perform at Vesper as part of their new Nebraska’s Own series.

As a performer, Campbell is best known for her contemporary stylings. She has also been a major voice in the community as an original founder of Omaha Under the Radar, a growing experimental music festival that has attracted over 200 artists to the city in just five seasons.

The decision to highlight Omaha’s Own in Vesper Concerts’ future was Stacey Hanelines’, Artistic Director.

Another recent addition to Vesper’s offerings are artists in residence, two performing acts and a visual artist, Kirk Vaughn Robinson, who has been making pieces unique to every recent performance.

Kate Campbell will perform this Sunday, January 13 at 3:00pm, part of Vesper Concerts at the Presbyterian Church of the Cross. As always, the concert is free and open to the public. For more information, visit VesperConcerts.org.
