Omaha, NE—Vesper Concert Series, one of Omaha’s most dedicated classical music organizers, will host the chamber music ensemble, Sybarite5 this Monday, July 16th. Departing from classical standards, Sybarite and vesper offer a new experience for the audience. Sybarite5 is a classically trained and organized string quintet, but they’re repertoire includes the likes of pop stars, like David Bowie and Radiohead. They’ve been called classically trained rock stars.

Even though Sybarite5 might be playing rock and roll, their classical training and arrangements recontextualize popular and classical music.

Vesper Concerts is known for their concerts at the Church, and one of their mainstays has been the organ, which began the series in the first place. Now, the series is getting turned around in style and location, but it shouldn’t detract from the quality of the performance.

The Vesper Concert Series will present Sybarite5 on Monday night, July 16th at Smyhte Parke at 7pm. For more information, visit VesperConcerts.org.
