Omaha, NE—OutrSpaces is hosting their second annual Conspire Music and Arts Festival this Saturday. It might be only one night for the audience, but it’s taking artists a long week to prepare. That’s because Conspire joins artists at random, many of whom who have never even met. Rockers, jazz players, classical musicians, thesbians and visual artists are working now in groups to present something entirely new.
OutrSpaces isn’t just one of Omaha’s prominent event venues. It’s also a space for makers, providing members a home for rehearsal and uninterrupted creative output.
Last year, Conspire was mostly about the music with a few visual artists brought together. This year’s Conspire Festival is doing more to create multimedia spectacles bringing art and music together.
Conspire’s originators were in KVNO’s studio last year to talk about the internationally inspired event, and OutrSpaces intends to keep it an Omaha tradition.
OutrSpaces’ Conspire Music and Arts Festival is this Saturday, June 16th at 7:00pm. No ticket purchases required, but the venue suggests a $20 donation to support the artists. For more information, visit OutrSpaces.org, or find the event on Facebook.
