Omaha, NE—Tonight at the Blue Barn Theatre is the Midwest premier of a new play, The City in the City in the City by New Jersey playwright Matthew Capodicasa. His plays have been performed on the stages of New York, and he’s come to Omaha by way of the Great Plains Theatre Conference. The City begins in strange circumstances, and an outlandish proposal, and ends up in a mysterious fictional setting.

Omaha, NE—Founded just last year, OutrSpaces is rapidly becoming one of Omaha’s premier event venues. In addition to hosting performances by local and visiting artists, pretty much weekly, they’ve already spearheaded some original projects, like Conspire, a summer music festival, and recently a late night talk show. But performance wasn’t even the main idea. OutrSpaces serves Omaha artists as a rehearsal space, and its role quickly expanded. Co-founder, Philip Kolbo.

In addition to the events at galleries and performance spaces, it’s also a night of pop-up exhibitions. Tonight, the 8th Annual Abuse Survivors Art show, showcasing the healing journey of survivors, will open at the SOZO Coffeehouse. The exhibition was organized by Kathleen Keller with ArtWorx, a local nonprofit.
