Kerrey, Fischer schedule third debate

Omaha, NE – NET News will host the third scheduled debate between Nebraska’s U.S. Senate candidates October 1st. Bob Kerrey and Deb Fischer will meet at NET’s television studios in Lincoln for a 7 p.m. start. The debate will be moderated by NET News Director Dennis Kellogg, and broadcast live on NET-1.
The candidates will take questions from a panel of three reporters, and Kellogg will also present questions from voters, gathered through NET’s ongoing Voter Voices project.
Kerrey and Fischer are also scheduled for their second debate Friday, Sept. 28 at the Omaha Community Playhouse. That debate will be hosted by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and KETV, and will be broadcast on Cox Channel 123 and over the air on 7.2. It is scheduled to run 11 a.m. to noon, and KETV will re-run it on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m.
The two candidates met for their first debate in Grand Island on August 25.
