‘Public Health Thank You Day’ in Nebraska
OMAHA – Without disagreeing, during the pandemic health workers have worked in the middle of exhaustion and exasperation. The Nebraska Association of Local Health Directors identifies November 22 as Public Health Thank You Day.

Kenny Barron is a jazz pianist known as a master of jazz piano. He’s a Philadelphia native who started playing professionally with a local orchestra as a teenager. The group also featured his brother, the late Bill Barron, a tenor saxophonist.
Kenny Barron has worked with several jazz greats, including Dizzie Gillespie, and Freddie Hubbard. Barron is a multiple-Grammy nominee. In 2005, he was inducted into the American Jazz Hall of Fame and in 2010 he was selected for the National Endowment for the Arts prestigious Jazz Masters.
He will perform with the Kenny Barron Trio Friday, May 18th at the Holland Center in downtown Omaha.
