Chris Botti has been described by National Public Radio music critic Jason Parker as having “One of the most amazing trumpet tones I’ve ever heard.†And he wasn’t kidding. Botti’s style has been a testament to jazz fusion, and his performances of traditional standards like “My Funny Valentine†are awe-inspiring.
That kind of esteem and prestige has also been noted by his peers. In 2007, Botti was nominated for two Grammy awards, and received three more nominations in 2009. His released albums have also fared well on the charts, with three of them reaching number one on the Billboard top jazz albums.
Chris Botti will be performing on December 3rd at The Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha at 8pm.
