Jersey Boys opens at Orpheum
September 6th, 2011
Omaha, NE – A high-energy, Tony- and Grammy-award winning musical opens at the Orpheum this week.
Jersey Boys first opened on Broadway in 2005. Described as a “jukebox musical,” Jersey Boys tells the story of the rise and fall of The Four Seasons – a mid-60s rock band led by Frankie Valli. As the producers describe it, the story is about a “group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks” who became a pop sensation.
The Omaha performance features Matt Bailey as Tommy DeVito and Joseph Leo Bwarie as Frankie Valli. The production will include hit songs like “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man” and “Oh, What a Night.”
Jersey Boys, as part Omaha Performing Arts’ Broadway Series, opens Wednesday night at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Omaha, and runs through September 25th.
