Jersey Boys opens at Orpheum
September 6th, 2011
Omaha, NE – A high-energy, Tony- and Grammy-award winning musical opens at the Orpheum this week.
Jersey Boys first opened on Broadway in 2005. Described as a “jukebox musical,†Jersey Boys tells the story of the rise and fall of The Four Seasons – a mid-60s rock band led by Frankie Valli. As the producers describe it, the story is about a “group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks†who became a pop sensation.
The Omaha performance features Matt Bailey as Tommy DeVito and Joseph Leo Bwarie as Frankie Valli. The production will include hit songs like “Big Girls Don’t Cry,†“Walk Like a Man†and “Oh, What a Night.â€
Jersey Boys, as part Omaha Performing Arts’ Broadway Series, opens Wednesday night at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Omaha, and runs through September 25th.
