‘Public Health Thank You Day’ in Nebraska
OMAHA – Without disagreeing, during the pandemic health workers have worked in the middle of exhaustion and exasperation. The Nebraska Association of Local Health Directors identifies November 22 as Public Health Thank You Day.

Omaha, NE – One local artist is staying true to his roots, by doing exactly what he loves – and that’s writing, and playing music.

If you ask him, he’ll tell you that Omaha is not an easy music market to break into. It takes time and patience. At the end of the day, it’s his influences and the type of drive that only a musician can possess that keeps him going.

“Music is just… what I love to do. It’s what I do best,” he said. “And… the feeling that I get when I hear my favorite artist, when I hear my favorite song….the inspiration or the good feeling that it gives to me, just to be able to give that to other people is just so amazing. I think that’s what keeps me on the path that I’m on.â€
Most of his influences are derived from the musicians that have mastered R&B and Pop, two musical genres that E Rawq has worked to make his mark in.
“My biggest inspiration musically? I pull from a lot of artists: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince.â€
E Rawq will be performing Saturday, July 9th at 11 pm at the Pizza Shoppe Collective in Benson. And although he is not new to playing in front of a live audience, E Rawq said this show will be unlike any of his previous ones.
“I’m going to have background dancers as well as background singers, so it’s going to be a really unique show,†he said.
