St. Olaf Choir on Midwest Tour

The Minnesota St. Olaf Choir is, one of the oldest college a cappella choirs in the United States. It is considered one of the finest and is currently on tour through the Midwest. The music of the St. Olaf Choir is customarily choral verses, and its mission is to advance the artistic standards of traditional church music, providing spiritual inspiration for its listeners. They have performed Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Bogoroditse Devo as well as Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck’s Cantate Domino.
The concert will be conducted by Anton Armstrong, who has led the choir since 1990, with John Ferguson as organist. 75 mixed voices make up the ensemble. The St. Olaf Choir will perform at the Holland Performing Arts Center’s Kiewit Concert Hall Sunday, January 30th at 4 PM.
