Mary Poppins: the English nanny, who drops in to the lives of two naughty children and their bickering, struggling parents. With a few tricks up her sleeve, like a magic umbrella that flies, and the ability to make statues come to life, Mary Poppins teaches the family a few lessons about life, and helps them reunite as a strong family unit.
The stage production of Mary Poppins takes elements of the original books by P.L. Travers and the film. Mary Poppins first opened on the stage in London in 2004, and came to Broadway in 2006
On tour, arriving in Omaha Thursday at the Orpheum Theater, the production features most of the original cast, including UK star Caroline Sheen as Mary Poppins. The production runs through February 13th.
