‘Public Health Thank You Day’ in Nebraska

Wayne Bergeron performs with Nebraska Jazz Orchestra

Omaha, NE – Jazz great Wayne Bergeron will team up with Nebraska’s own jazz orchestra in Lincoln Oct. 15.
Bergeron’s jazz credits are eclectic. Best known for his lead trumpet performances with the Maynard Ferguson Band in the 1980s, Bergeron has since played with Beyonce and Barry Manilow. You can also hear Bergeron’s trumpet on the theme song for Fox’s animated series, Family Guy.
Bergeron will be joined on stage by Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, which has been keeping jazz alive in Nebraska since 1975. The performance takes place Oct. 15 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Lied Center for Performing Arts.
