Project Project’s $100 Art Sale Tonight

Omaha, NE—Project Project, one of South Omaha’s Vinton Street Galleries, will be hosting their annual $100 Art Sale tonight. It’s a chance for attendees to acquire contemporary art from around the country at a reasonable price. It’s also an important event for the gallery, since they typically don’t ask for money for the rest of the year.

While many galleries depend on a percentage of sales to survive, Co-founders and Curators Joel Damon and Josh Powell are more interested in presenting good contemporary art. And that model permits them to show installations that aren’t always salable, like last year, when artist Heidi Wiren Bartlett planted a pine forest in the gallery.

Artists showing at Project Project, including those whose work is part of the $100 Art Sale, are not just from the Omaha, but all over the country.

The sale will include some of the Omaha metro area’s most notable contemporary artists, like Alex Myers, Holly Kranker, Sarah Kolar, Watie White, Ella Weber, and Christina Narwicz. And despite the $100 label, attendees do have a chance to get a little more for a little less.

Project Project’s $100 art sale is tonight with the line starting at 6pm, doors opening at 7pm on 1818 Vinton Street. For more information, visit ProjectProjectOmaha.com
